So I told you that Lexi was starting therapy in my post Always Hurts to Hear It. I wanted to give you a little update. Lexi started intense home therapy about 2 weeks ago. We have already noticed an increase in how much she talks to us, engages with us, and even works better with Zoe. Most of these are just a bi-product of consistently working with a tutor each day in an intense very flowing therapeutic way. She has passed off a few of her goals already and is close to passing off a few more. It is so exciting for us to see her improving so quickly.
The real reason I wanted to post about this however is I want to show you two of the adorable videos we took of her singing during therapy on Friday. I have sang Row Row Row Your Boat, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, to Lexi for years. But she would never do more then fill in a word here and there and even that was just recent. Then the other day I’m sitting working away at the computer and all the sudden I hear her singing full songs in the other room. So awesome! On Friday I caught her singing a few songs. She would never wait for me to be ready so the first few seconds are cut off. Here is her singing the “ABC Song” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” I love how the minute she finishes "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" she asks her tutor to make her a car with play dough. I’ve watched these videos so many times! Love this girl!
What a sweet little voice:)
